F uter Energy is the theme of of Expo 2017 held in Astana (now Nur-Sultan), Kazakhstan. It focused on renewable energy, sustainability, and green technologies. This was Kazakhstan’s first Expo and the first World Expo held in Central Asia.

Kazakhstan Pavilion – “Nur Alem”
– A stunning 8-floor glass sphere, the world’s largest spherical building (80m tall).
– Each floor explored different energy sources (solar, wind, water, biomass, etc.).
– Now a “Future Energy Museum”, showcasing green technologies.
Germany Pavilion – “Energy on Track”
– Focused on smart energy grids & sustainable cities.
– Interactive bike ride experience to generate power.

– Included a replica of a futuristic city using 100% clean energy.
China Pavilion – “Future Energy, Green Silk Road”
– Presented China’s renewable energy projects.
– Featured a solar-powered panda-shaped power station!
Russia Pavilion – “Energy for the Planet”
– Focused on nuclear energy, space technology, and Arctic energy projects.
